We here at Community Mediation of St. Mary's County take pride in serving our community. Which is why we offer a helping hand to those who are need of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services in our community. We remove financial barriers by providing all of our services at no cost to our community. It is through grants and generous community members that we are able to sustain our programs and keep the doors open.
To help raise money we started our Helping Hand Drive! It takes all of us to support and strengthen our community, which is why were asking you to lend a helping hand. We have four different program areas that anyone could support. Family/Neighborhood Mediation, School Based Services, Community Dialogue, and Prison Re-Entry. The support we received in part go towards basic training for apprentice mediators and advanced training for current mediators. Additional funds will help provide supplies and materials necessary for each program.
To kick off our Helping Hand Drive we participated in #GivingTuesday. Though we received many generous donations, we were still accepting donations through the end of the year to help reach our goal of $10,000.
